ECOS University

The Princeton Review Education and Career Opportunities System (ECOS) offers seven phone-based classes to support our education partners. Each class focuses on maximizing your use of the system. Class size is limited to four "students" per session to ensure the effective and efficient use of time and resources.

An expert ECOS Product Support team member guides participants through the essentials of the system and answers any questions to assist educators become comfortable with the web-based system. All training sessions are offered Monday through Friday and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Getting Started With ECOS


A concise, 45-minute orientation designed to introduce novice users to ECOS. Content for this phone training includes:


  • Administrator personal account login procedure
  • Various methods to create student accounts
  • Overview of system on the student and administrator interfaces
  • Curriculum integration ideas and how to get students excited about ECOS

This brief introduction to the site offers the basic tools educators need to get started and begin to discover the potential of ECOS on their own.








College Module


An intensive, 45-minute lesson offering interactive experiences within the ECOS College Module. Content for this phone training includes:


  • Thorough walk-through of the ECOS College Module
  • Modeled activities of system search and research functions
  • Demonstration of Locker, Calendar and Strategy Tools
  • Specific curriculum integration examples

This comprehensive phone training session allows educators to refine their knowledge as well as initiate further development of ideas for the integration of ECOS into their programs.








SAT & ACT Preparation


The SAT & ACT Preparation session offers a concise 45-minute overview of the SAT & ACT resources available to your students. Some examples:


  • SAT Course and Practice Tests
  • ACT Course and Practice Tests
  • Additional Test Prep Resources
  • Administrative Tracking Tools for SAT & ACT Practice Tests

This comprehensive phone training session allows educators to refine their knowledge as well as initiate further development of ideas for the integration of ECOS into their programs.







Counselor & Administrator Module


The Counselor & Administrator Module offers flexible and concise 45-minute refresher courses and/or specific lessons designed to help make the most of the customization, reporting and tracking tools found within the counselor/administrator module. Some examples:


  • Managing Your Student Directory
  • Customization: Logo, Bulletins, Articles, Course Planner, etc.
  • Usage Reporting and Tracking
  • Accessing the Student Modules

Career & Majors Modules


The Career & Majors Modules session offers a concise 45-minute overview of the Career and Major resources available to students through ECOS. Some examples:


  • Interest Inventory

  • Saving Careers and Majors in the Locker
  • Creating four-year plans based on Career and Major interests

Scholarship & Financial Aid Resources


The ECOS Scholarship & Financial Aid Resources session offers a 45-minute overview of the many Financial Aid resources available in ECOS. Some examples:

  • Scholarship Search
  • FA Resources and Tools: EFC Calculator, FAFSA, CSS Profile
  • Customizing the Scholarship Directory
