The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music

The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music does not offer tours during the Summer. Please read below for information on the different campus visit programs that we offer when school is in session. All tours start at the university Welcome Center, located on 72 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10011 (on the corner of 13th St).

Jazz Information Session and Campus Tour

This campus visit program, offered Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m., is designed for students, family members, and education professionals who seek specific program information and/or people who are just beginning to learn about Jazz and The New School. It includes a 30-minute overview of the university, a 45-minute Greenwich Village campus tour led by current students, and a 30-minute information session about New School Jazz’s academic programs and admission requirements facilitated by an admission officer. Visitors are also able to observe an ensemble rehearsal at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.

New School Overview and Campus Tour

Available most Mondays at 10:30 a.m., this campus visit program is ideal for people who may not yet have specific academic and admission questions about the Jazz program, but who want to visit the campus, learn about the university, and get a feel for Jazz and The New School. It includes a 30-minute university overview and a 45-minute Greenwich Village campus tour led by current students.

BA/BFA Dual Degree Information Session and Greenwich Village Campus Tour

This campus visit program takes place Thursdays at 12 noon, it will include a 30-minute university overview and a 75-minute Greenwich Village campus tour led by current students. This program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing the BA/BFA dual degree program connecting New School Jazz with Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts.

All tours start at the university Welcome Center, located on 72 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10011 (on the corner of 13th St).
