Parsons The New School for Design: On-Campus Tours, Information Sessions, Portfolio Development

Parsons The New School for Design offers a variety of on-campus visit programs. To register, select the day you wish to visit for a complete listing of the events offered that day. (No campus visits will be available August 20-September 6 to accommodate for new student orientation.)

Please be aware that our programs fill up quickly, so advance planning may be required. If an event is full, you will be unable to register and must select a different day/program. Campus visit programs are occasionally suspended on days when the University is closed and/or to support special group visits or the opening and closing of academic terms. For the remainder of 2010, the following campus visit programs are available:

Information Session & Village Campus Tour Program: This campus visit program is offered Mondays through Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. It includes a 30-minute university overview, a 60-minute village campus tour led by a current student, followed by a 30-minute information session about academic programs and admission requirements facilitated by an admission counselor. This program is designed for individuals who would benefit from specific program information and/or who are just beginning to learn about Parsons and The New School.

Village Campus Tour Program: This campus visit program is offered Monday through Thursday at 10:30 a.m. It includes a 30-minute university overview and a 60-minute village campus tour led by a current student. This program is ideal for individuals who want to visit campus and get a feel for Parsons and The New School, but who may not have many specific academic or admission questions.

Portfolio Workshop & Village Campus Tour: This campus visit program is offered Fridays at 2:00 p.m. It includes a 30-minute university overview, and a 60-minute village campus tour led by a current student, followed by a 60-minute information session about academic programs, admission requirements and preparation of an admission portfolio facilitated by an admission counselor. This program is designed for individuals who are very serious about Parsons and intend to apply.

BA/BFA Dual Degree Campus Tour: This campus visit is offered on Wednesdays at 12:00pm. It includes a 90-minute village campus tour led by a current student. This program is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing the BA/BFA dual degree program connecting Lang with either Parsons The New School for Design or The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Fashion Campus Tour Program: This campus visit program includes a 30-minute tour, led by a current student, of the fashion building where Fashion Design students at sophomore level and above study. This program is designed for individuals interested in the Fashion Design program at any level of study and we recommend it be combined with one of the above programs.

Touring Residence Halls:
Please visit http://www.newschool.edu/studentservices/housing for our Housing Tour schedule. Reservations are not required. Housing tours are suspended from August 6-September 3.

Masters Program Candidates: Please contact the graduate program office of interest to arrange an appointment.
